Col. George London from Justin McClain

With today, Patriot Day, being the fifteenth anniversary of that dark morning of Tuesday, September 11, 2001, it is fitting for our community to honor retired Col. George London for - among multiple other reasons - his commitment and dedication to serving the armed forces of the United States of America by way of his myriad contributions as a veteran officer in the U.S. Air Force. You would not innately know it due to his humility, but George's impressive résumé indicates that he is by far one of the most experienced of our faculty members, both through formal education (with him having the credentialed equivalent of a doctorate) and life endeavors, via a wide array of categories: retired test pilot, aerospace engineer, physics teacher, computer teacher, network manager, mathematics teacher, flight instructor, scientific and mathematical expertise consultant, graduate-level instructor, mentor, open ear, and several other roles, hardly the least of which is his capacity as a devotee to his family as a father, grandfather, and man of God. On Patriot Day and beyond, thank you, George, for being such a positive example within our community - particularly for our students - of how to faithfully live the tenets of duty, honor, selflessness, determination, perseverance, studiousness, and Godliness (to name but a few attributes).
