Why does appreciation matter to my colleagues?
It is one of the three important kinds of feedback that we all need. Appreciation says "I see you, I hear you, I value you" (Stone & Heen). But sadly, people are “less likely to feel or express gratitude at work than anyplace else” (2013). We spend more waking hours at work than anywhere else -- so let's make work a place where everyone knows they are appreciated!
eThanks can be viewed by the entire faculty and staff, so we know about the great work our colleagues are doing. And it's fast, too.
