Sandy Herndon, Rachel Longest, and Peter Sanneman from Justin McClain

Our Campus Ministry colleagues (Sandy Herndon, Rachel Longest, and Peter Sanneman) undertake an immense amount of work - although undertaking per se is, perhaps fortunately, not one of them - throughout the extent of the academic year (not to mention the summer)! These three are highly dedicated to the liturgical, ministerial, and service-learning initiatives that characterize our community as a Catholic school. In a particular way, regarding their liturgical preparation, Peter, Rachel, and Sandy instruct the peer ministers, not to mention the faculty and staff as well, about the significance of the mass, which is frankly the most important event in the life of the universal Church, with the Eucharist deemed by the Catechism as "the source and summit of the Christian life" (CCC 1324; cf. Lumen Gentium 11). Thank you, Peter, Rachel, and Sandy, for keeping McNamara centered on the Eucharistic celebration, laboring especially behind the scenes to bring this all together so seamlessly.
